Oral Appliance Therapy
Comfortable
The oral appliance is custom-made to fit inside your mouth precisely. Although it may feel different at first, most people adapt to the sleep device within a short period of time. And since there are no outside attachments, you can snuggle with your loved one and sleep in any position (on your side, back or stomach) that is most comfortable to you without any hindrance.
Portable
Because the oral appliance is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and requires no electricity, it is very convenient for travel. The device comes in a protective case and can be easily carried in a purse or carry-on bag. One can discreetly use the appliance to sleep during a long flight or car ride and not have to worry about setting up equipment, drawing attention to oneself or waking up nearby passengers with the noise from the CPAP or the sound of you snoring.
Quiet
Unlike the CPAP, the oral appliance itself makes no noise. It is essentially a specialized mouthguard that acts by holding the jaw in a more forward position which, in turn, opens up the airway helping you breathe better through the nose and mouth. In fact, it has been shown to reduce and/or eliminate snoring creating a more peaceful environment for your loved ones.
